How to bring up your child without a sense of Entitlement

A young man was applying for a high position in a big company. He passed the initial interview and was going to meet the director for the final interview. The Director saw his resume, it was excellent. And asked him:
– you received a scholarship at school? The young man replied – I didn’t.
– it was your father who paid for your education?
– yes – he answered.
– where does your dad work?
– my dad works in a factory.
The Director asked the young man to show his hands.1413830260-interview-questions

The young man showed a pair of hands soft and perfect.
– have you ever helped your dad in his work?
– never, my parents always wanted me to study and read more books. In addition, he can do these tasks better than me.
The Director said to him:
– I have a request: when you go home today, go and wash your hands of your father. And come see me tomorrow morning.
The young man felt that his chance of getting the job was high.
When he came home, he asked his father to let him wash his hands.
His Father felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings and showed his hands to his son. The boy washed his hands of his father slowly. It was the first time he realized that his father’s hands were wrinkled and they had a lot of scars. Some bruises were so painful that his skin prickled when he touched her.
This was the first time that the boy if he gave account of the significance of this pair of hands working every day to pay for your studies. The bruises on the hands were the price that his father had to pay for his education, his school activities and his future.

The next morning, the young man was found with the director.
The Director noticed the tears in the eyes of the young man when he asked:
– can you tell me what you did and learned yesterday in your house?
The boy answered:
– washed my father’s hands, and also finished cleaning and organizing his garage. Now I recognize what it took for my parents to get me here. By helping my father I now realize how difficult and hard it is to be able to do something by myself. I learned to appreciate the importance and value of helping the family.
The Director said:
– that’s what I’m looking for in my people. I want to hire a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the suffering it takes others to do things, and one that does not put money as his only goal in life. You’re hired.

A child who has been protected and habitually given her what she wants, develops an undeserved sense of Entitlement.
If we are this type of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying our children?

550_102177810You can give your child a big house, good food, education, a big screen TV… but when you’re washing the floor or painting a wall, ask your child to join in the fun. After eating, he will wash the dishes with their brothers and sisters.

It’s not because you don’t have money to hire someone to do that; it is because you want to love your child the right way.
The most important thing is that the child should learn to appreciate the effort and have the experience of the difficulty, learning the ability to work with others to do things.
